Review by hotel critic
As a tea plantation owner from Galle, my family and I recently escaped to Ocean Breeze for a vacation. The hotel's location is a great mix of beach and mountains-perfect for family fun. We loved indulging in fresh seafood at the restaurant. It was quite convenient after a long day of exploring! our experience was marred by some issues. The unit wasn't thoroughly cleaned upon arrival, and there was an unpleasant odor in our non-smoking room. The noise from renovations was also a letdown. We had some parking troubles with a leaking roof, and unfortunately, I was left to deal with the repercussions of that. The hotel's staff was friendly and eager to help. The breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean from our room made for splendid evenings, and we enjoyed a sunset cruise that was a highlight for my kids. While the hotel offers family-friendly amenities like swimming pools and nearby golf opportunities, my overall experience wasn't what I had hoped for. Maybe this place has improved since then, but I don't plan on returning.
